WAM Global - A Supportive Network
Women Arise Ministries (WAM) Global is a faith-based interdenominational UK registered Charity that reaches out to women from all parts of the community by fulfilling its mandate to Love, Build and Encourage. We are not a church, nevertheless our goal is to touch the lives of women with the love of God so that His love can be spread throughout the world in line with our slogan: “Touching your life to touch others.”
WAM Global is a supportive network for women which brings healing and restoration spiritually, emotionally and practically through seminars, teaching, training and self-development opportunities in line with its mission to equip, empower and enable. Although our projects are primarily targeted at women, we believe (undoubtedly,) WAM can also be an
effective tool to bring greater strength and encouragement to the whole family unit.
Our Genesis
The vision to start running women’s meetings was given in 2001 based on the following scripture…‘Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.' Hebrews 10:24-25
Three years later, in 2004, Women Arise (the Ministry) was launched to provide a multi-faceted source of support as seen above. The ministry’s inception took strength from our slogan and was also governed by another influential scripture: ‘Arise! Let your light shine for all the nations to see… For the glory of the LORD is shining upon you.’ Isaiah 60:1
The scriptures, Hebrews 10:24-25 and Isaiah 60:1 were a mandate given by God that are interrelated by purpose and meaning. They remain crucially relevant to the objective of WAM Global to train and inspire to aspire.
